  • My boilerplate advice: "You can format inline code and code blocks by selecting the code and clicking the {} button above the edit window. The edit window help button ? is also useful for learning how to format your questions and answers...." Note that while input code in a question should be formatted text, output sometimes is better presented as an image. Images can be upload with a button on the edit window or with the uploader – Michael E2 Oct 4 '15 at 12:06
